STUDENT EXCELLENCE AWARDS
As we progress into 2002, St. Rynagh's Community College takes pride in the achievement of its students. These students have moved on to other educational establishments and as such, the University of Life.

Claire Moran: For her outstanding academic achievement in obtaining 555 points. Claire was an exceptional student, always highly motivated and diligent. She was exemplary in her behaviour and courtesy. Claire has chosen to study Law in the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Maria Conroy: For her outstanding academic achievement, Maria was a diligent, loyal, courteous, committed and highly motivated student who participated in all aspects of student life in St. Rynagh's Community College. She can be justifiably proud of the 510 points she achieved in her Leaving Certificate examination. Maria has fulfilled her ambition to study for a B.Ed. Degree in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.

Niall Brophy: For his application to study and academic excellence. Niall has shown maturity beyond his years. He was exemplary in his behaviour, courtesy and dependability. He has now realised his ambition to study Agriculture in University College, Dublin.

Barry Kelly: For his dedication to his studies and outstanding academic achievement. Barry was dependable, courteous and pleasant. Barry has realised his great ambition in life. He has joined the Air Corps and has commenced training to become a Pilot.

Paddy Smith: For his outstanding academic achievement, Paddy was diligent and courteous and actively participated in all aspects of student life in St. Rynagh's CC. As Head Boy he was always reliable and dependable. Paddy has chosen to study in University of Limerick.

Pauline Hoctor: For her application to study and academic excellence and for her loyalty, dedication, diligence and reliability as Head Girl. Pauline participated in all aspects of student life in St. Rynagh's CC. She was chosen to study Business Studies in Dublin City Uniiversity.

Mary Mullins: For her application to study and excellent academic achievement, for her involvement in extra curricular activities, notably music, drama and the school Radio Station. Mary worked diligently. She was dependable and exemplary and gave of her best at all times. Mary has commenced her studies for a B.A. Degree in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.

Ciara Butler: For her loyalty, dedication, commitment, cheerfulness and enthusiasm and for her application to study and academic achievements. Ciara was always dependable, pleasant and courteous. She has chosen to study for a B.A. Degree in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.

Maeve Kennedy: For her consistent dedication to her studies and for being courteous, pleasant and dependable. She was a determined and committed student who gave of her talents in Camogie, drama, and Public Speaking. Maeve has chosen to study Marketing and Management in D.I.T.

Enda Corcoran: For his dedication to his studies, Enda was courteous and pleasant. He showed diligence and determination and has chosen to study Sports Management in University College, Dublin.

Catriona Keane: For her consistent dedication to her studies, Catriona proved herself to be an extremely, pleasant, reliable, co-operative and diligent student. Her quiet manner endeared her to both teachers and students. Her determination and academic achievement has earned her a place in National University of Ireland, Galway where she has chosen to study for an Arts Degree.

Stacey Sullivan: For her persistence, diligence and dedication, Stacey was dependable, courteous and pleasant and was very generous with her musical talents. Stacey has chosen to study for a B.A. Degree in National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

Jessica Kennedy: For her consistent diligence and dedication, Jessica was a very determined student and was always courteous, dependable and pleasant. She gave of her best at all times especially on the Camogie field. Jessica has chosen to study for a B.A. in National University of Ireland.

Sheila Rice: For her qualities of friendliness, gentleness and kindness, Sheila was a co-operative and enthusiastic student. She was most diligent and displayed maturity beyond her years. Sheila has chosen to study for a B.Sc. Degree in National University, Galway.

Sharon McDonagh: For her consistent dedication to her studies. She displayed absolute diligence and determination. She has chosen to study for a B.A. Degree in University College, Dublin.

Brendan Kenny: For his absolute dedication to his studies, Brendan was dependable, courteous and pleasant and very determined. Brendan has chosen to study Electronic and Computer Engineering in Athlone Institute of Technology.

STUDENT OF THE YEAR
All students in the Leaving Certificate year are eligible to be nominated for the "Student of the Year" award. It is presented to the student who has given leadership, and inspiration, has achieved outstanding academic progress and distinguished themselves in the field of extra curricular activities. The overall student of the year receives an engraved Cross Pen, a "Student of the Year" certificate and a Perpetual Trophy sponsored by the Bank of Ireland.

STUDENT OF THE CLASS
Each year "Student of the Class" awards are presented to enable us to record endeavour, diligence, co-operation, attendance, outstanding achievement or any other commendable quality that we recognise in a student.
